As I limped into Empower, I was in great pain after breaking my femur bone. I was sure I wouldn't be able to walk without a cane. I met Laurie, the receptionist, and she was very sweet. I then met Rachel Miller. She took me into her room and took measurements of my legs and knews and hips. She pulled, poked and kneaded my hip till I screamed "Rachel, you're trying to kill me". Rachel was like the neigborhood bartender except without the drinks. She heard all about my life, loves, family and neighbors. She got tired of me and turned me over to Theresa Feola. Theresa was very kind but just as touch as Rachel. She taught me to stop slouching and walk straight and tall. I was 4'10" tall when I walked into Empower and when I left, I was 5'8" (Can't beat that). Thank you!!! --Janet M. (Age 76)
I highly recommend Rachel Miller and the team at Empower for all PT needs. ACL surgery and subsequent lack of movement impacted other area of my body - my back and my ankle. I had been working with other PT's but was frustrated with their assembly line approach and also my lack of progress. Rachel conducted a complete assessment and was able to diagnose the linkage between my back , hips, kneww and ankle and educated me on correcting the alignment of my body that would provide longer term relief. She developed a comprehensive program for me - treating me in the office and providing exercises for me to do at home...I recovered from the knee surgery much faster than expected. Rachel's approach is more individualized, hands on and effective than the assembly line approach used by most of the larger PT companies. Everything from the set up of the office with individiual rooms, to working with a therapist that follows your progress and understands the issues makes the experience much more productive. Rachel's positive attitude and encouragement go a long way to keeping up with the PT regime. --Scott M.
Does it work? YES! In January, leg pain caused by disc problems made it difficult for me to get from the bed to the bathroom. By the end of April my life had returned - back to work and freedom from pain. Now in June, I am walking four to five miles a day at 3 1/2 mph. Not bad for a 75-year-old! Rachel is a tough taskmaster, but if you do the drill religiously, it can work for you, too! --Joseph M.
After trying unsuccessfully for a year and a half to determine the source of a pain I had been experiencing, my doctor suggested that it might be muscular in nature. He thought I should try physical therapy to see if that might isolate the problem and stop the pain. On the very first visit, Rachel was able to locate the problem and reduce the pain significantly. The periodic visits and home exercise regiment quickly eased the pain to a very manageable level and have subsequently almost eliminated it completely. I continue to do stretching exercises and strength training at home. I would like to thank the Empower Physical Therapy staff, especially Rachel and Dena for making the time I spent with them enjoyable, informative and for restoring my quality of life. I would strongly recommend them for anyone requiring physical therapy. I know that they will receive the same high level of expertise and commitment that I was given. --Tim D.

After being in the care of a Chiropractor for 6 months, I was still having pelvic pain from my previous pregnancy and delivery. Within 3 months of treatment at Empower Physical Therapy, I was virtually pain free! Thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at EPT for allowing me and enabling me to live an active and pain free life raising my family. -- Carrie

Until my gynecologist referred me to Rachel, I had no idea physical therapy was essential in successfully treating chronic vulvar (vaginal) pain. I am grateful for the comprehensive and expert approach of the staff and I am on the road to living a normal life again.

Following Radical Prostatectomy, my surgeon- Donald Anderson- recommended Physical Therapy for overcoming incompetence. After six session (over two months) I recovered enough to reduce absorbant underware to one per day. I am convinced that Theresa Feola greatly aided me in learning how to retrain and strengthen critical muscles. -- William W.
Excellent results!! I have requested both of my doctors to send any of their patients that have incontinence problems to you (Theresa Feola). Thank you for all your help. --Tom B.
Theresa was extremely helpful with my problem. She is both knowledgeable and compassionate, and helped me to develop a strengthening and stretching routine to manage pelvic pain going forward. -- Chris L.
Complications from Prostate surgery left me with little bladder control. Empower devised an exercise program to train core muscles to control bladder function. In less than 10 weeks, I have regained 99% bladder control, as well as my pride and dignity. Thanks Empower. --George H.
I am continuing to make very positive progress. As of today my incontinence issues are beginning to subside and I am down to one pad per day (none at night and none at home on weekends)...YES!! My doctor is also very pleased with my progress. He said in some cases I am actually a little ahead of schedule. My thanks to EPT. You're the best (Especially Theresa!) I promise to keep in touch. Thank you so much. -- Greg H.
