"When I was in high school, my father injured his back and couldn’t stand up straight. After three weeks of physical therapy, he was standing upright again and I thought, ‘I want to be able to do that.’ Today, I can focus on getting people out of pain so they can enjoy life. It feels great to make a positive difference in someone’s life.

"Every individual is different, so our treatment techniques are always designed around that person. We spend 40 minutes with each patient and take a whole-body approach to solve the puzzle of their symptoms and the real causes of their pain. One of our primary focuses here is on women’s health, which is not very common in this region. We want to empower all our patients to experience the importance of lifelong exercise for better overall health and fitness."

"One of the many things I love most about being a physical therapist after over two decades of experience is the challenge of finding the source of the patient’s symptoms and how much a difference physical therapy can make in their lives. After working in a variety of settings, I have realized the importance of keeping the body strong and healthy and the influence it has on one’s attitude and spiritual energy.

Years ago when my mother, who is a nurse practitioner, encouraged me to go into the health care profession, I never realized where it would take me. Over the last 10 years of my career my interests in treating women’s and men’s pelvic floor issues has grown and Empower Physical Therapy has given me an opportunity to progress my skills and provide total care to my patients."
